We had a lot o' fun at Mighty Uke Day 4 in Old Town Lansing, May 9th and 10th, 2014.
This is what we are.
Punch Drunk is a band with Moxie.
They are diverse in the music and instruments that they play. From Tin Pan Alley to 80's Pop to Folk and beyond.
What!
We've been kicked out of some of the top venues in Michigan.
Lansing Area Ukulele Group H. Once a month, L.A.U.G.H meets in Sir Pizza in Old Town, Lansing Michigan. L.A.U.G.H meetings are always on a Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Punch Drunk are usually in attendance. After the strum, you might find us around the block at Elderly Instruments.
Tuesday evenings, look for Punch Drunk at Pickin' in the Park. During the cold Michigan winters, PITP is held indoors at Sir Pizza in Old Town. During the hot, mosquito infested summers, PITP is held indoors at Sir Pizza in Old Town. On those few goldilocks days, PITP is held in the park in Old Town, Lansing. Not too far from the Brenke Fish Ladder.
Rally in the Ally or RITA, happens every Thursday evening. You can often catch Punch Drunk at the American Legion Post 48, 731 N Clinton Street, Grand Ledge, Michigan. They will be the ones eating wings and popcorn. Bring an instrument or your singing voice and play along.
Mid Michigan Ukulele Group Strum or MMUGS is a monthly ukulele fun-strum in Mason Michigan. Run by that hippy dippy liberal, Terry Hill, MMUGS is a great place to meet new friends and improve your ukulele strummin'. MMUGS is at Bestsellers Books & Coffee Company one Saturday a month from 10:30 to 12:30
Tree Town Ukes is Sara's home turf. They gather on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. If you're a beginner, don't worry! This is a very friendly and inclusive group. (according to their Meetup page!) It's a wonderful place to learn new chords and techniques, to get some practice, and to meet many ukulele addicted friends! Join them at Oz's Music, 1920 Packard, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Lake O' Ukers is in Lake Odessa, Michigan. They meet in Bob's Barn. Bob's Barn is one heck of a rootin tootin' great place. Just remember, no cussing , no spittin', but smiling's fine. Lake O' Ukers meets on the 3rd Friday evening of the month at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. 1417 Johnson Street, Lake Odessa, Michigan

Olde FacefullWater Fountain
Punch Drunk is one of my favorite bands. I get so much joy from squirting them in the face with water. I'm going to tell all me water fountain friends. If I have me way, every water fountain in the country will squirt Punch Drunk with every innocent sip o' the juice.
